Join expert change worker Jørgen Rasmussen and find out about his unique and effective approach to change work
Tuesday 2nd September 2025 6:30PM -7:30PM (UK Time)
Is it possible that the “you” you’ve spent a lifetime defending… doesn’t actually exist?
What if most of your mental chatter - your worries, goals, doubts, and even your self-improvement efforts were all in service of a psychological illusion?
Join changework expert Jørgen Rasmussen for this free live session as he introduces a radical but increasingly explored idea:
There is no such thing as a fixed, stable self.
In this mind-opening hour, you’ll explore:
✅ Why the idea of “the self” might be one of the most widespread and limiting assumptions of our culture ✅ The surprising psychological and ethical implications of this illusion ✅ How this topic relates to personal freedom, suffering, and the way we relate to others ✅ Why an embodied realisation (not just an intellectual understanding) of this illusion can be a profound turning point.
Whether you’re a coach, therapist, someone into personal development, or simply someone curious about what lies beneath the surface of identity, this free session offers a powerful invitation to look more deeply.
This event will also introduce the themes behind Jørgen’s upcoming 10-part experiential masterclass, but you don’t need to be planning to attend that to benefit from this evening.
Come with an open mind, leave with a fresh perspective.
Jørgen has worked professionally as an agent of change for over twenty years.
He is the author of the books “Provocative Hypnosis” and “Provocative Suggestions” which have been widely acclaimed.
John Grinder (co-creator of NLP) says of his work…“This is the stuff of genius”.
For eight years, Jørgen ran what he describes as an ‘impossibles practice’. Working with those whom all other therapists said, "couldn't be helped".
Jørgen is the creator of the Psychological Illusion Model and his work and personal practice draws on a number of influences including: hypnosis, NLP, meditation and eastern and western approaches to psychology. He is also an experienced self defence instructor.
Join Expert Change Worker and Trainer Jørgen Rasmussen for this Unique New Ten part Experiential Masterclass.
NB Although this programme has started, it is possible to join and catch up with replays and resources for previous sessions.
👁️ What if the Self Is the Biggest Illusion of All?
What if the sense of “me” you’ve always taken for granted isn’t what you think it is?
What if anxiety, insecurity, or the drive to improve yourself are all symptoms of a deeper, mistaken assumption—that there is a thing called a self at the center of your experience?
This 10-week online masterclass with Jørgen Rasmussen is an invitation to take a radically different kind of journey. One not aimed solely at self-development… but at seeing through the illusion of the self altogether.
“It’s one thing to intellectually realise there’s no self. It’s something else entirely to have a felt shift in perception - to see it directly, and know it in your bones.”
Rather than simply talking about spiritual ideas or psychological theories, this course is about direct, lived insight. The kind of shift that doesn’t just change your mind—but changes what you take yourself to be.

Jørgen writes:
“Most of our thinking is self referential. Most of our psychological suffering revolves around the seemingly permanent, stable, and separate self these thoughts and feelings seem to imply and revolve around.
So many of our conflicts, goals, and deeper fears have to do with self-deficiency stories. As the late psychiatrist Thomas Szasz used to say: “A friendship is two people who have agreed to uphold each others mythologies.”
But there is no such thing as a self. It’s an illusion.
It’s one thing to know this intellectually. It’s something else entirely to have an embodied realisation, and experience an actual shift in perception.
The intent behind this 10 session masterclass is to help you have an actual insight into the self being an illusion. To not only see it, but to experience an actual shift
If you know it intellectually, but can’t really feel it yet, this is the course for you".
What This Course Offers
This isn’t just another meditation course. It’s a facilitated perceptual inquiry, designed to help you:
See through the illusion of a fixed, personal self
Loosen your identification with thoughts, feelings, and narratives
Reduce suffering by reducing the false sense of authorship
Develop a more spacious, flexible relationship with reality
Recognise the “selfing” process in real time—and relax it
What You Could Gain
People have their own insights and awakenings and it is possible that you might experience some or all of the following:
Freedom from mistaken identity – Recognise that you are not your thoughts, feelings, or self-concept.
Relief from suffering – See how so many psychological struggles are rooted in the illusion of a fixed “self.”
Deeper truth – For those who value truth for its own sake, this is a rare opportunity to explore the raw reality of experience.
Practical insight – Gain tools for noticing and relaxing the “selfing” process in daily life.
Fresh perspective – Reconsider ideas like free will, personal growth, and ethics through a radically different lens.
What Makes This Course Different?
Many courses talk about the self. This one helps you see through it.
Rather than offering abstract theories or general mindfulness techniques, this masterclass is designed to guide participants toward a felt shift—a direct experiential insight that the self, as we commonly perceive it, is an illusion.
Each week includes live, interactive sessions where Jørgen will aim to guide at least one participant through this perceptual shift, using methods honed over decades of teaching, mentoring, and one-to-one client work. Even witnessing this in others can catalyse your own insight.
"In each session I will do my best to help at least one person experience this insight live. Not only will you get a chance to work with me live, but you will learn indirectly by watching and getting absorbed into other participants’ sessions as well. Getting to not only experience yourself but watch live awakening sessions is so valuable due to the troubleshooting element. It often takes some trial and error for someone to have an actual shift. Everyone is different, and as the saying goes, its different strokes for different folks."
The sessions will combine awakening sessions, guided meditations, philosophical discussions, and troubleshooting.
You will be exposed to so many different angles and ways of pointing towards this illusion that there is a good chance that something will resonate for you.
You will get a collection of guided meditations to use between sessions, as well as group hypnosis sessions where the intent is to use suggestion artistry to help the process along.
The Paradox of Selfing
Jørgen often asks his clients: “When do you feel most like yourself?”
People typically answer with moments of peace, flow, or connection. Ironically, those are the moments when the “selfing” process is least active.
The very times we say “I wasn’t myself” are often when the self-story is loudest.
This paradox is at the heart of the work: to see that the self is a process, not a thing—and that what you really are has never depended on it.
Course Structure & Format
This is a highly experiential course, designed to meet participants at different stages of their inquiry.
Each week includes:
🔹 Live Zoom session (120 minutes) Teaching, live facilitation, guided meditation, and Q&A. 20 hours of live online sessions.
🔹 Guided meditations to practice between sessions
🔹 Homework and perceptual experiments Designed to help you investigate your own direct experience
🔹 Philosophical discussion and psychological insight
🔹 Optional peer discussion space A private group where you can ask questions, share reflections, and connect with fellow participants
Who Is This For?
This masterclass is ideal for:
Those who are willing to explore their own identity—seriously and experientially
People who want to delve into identity and the self and experience some profound insights.
Truth-seekers who value insight for its own sake
Long-term meditators who haven’t yet had “the shift”
Philosophically curious minds drawn to self-inquiry
However, please note that there are also many pitfalls on this journey and ways to get stuck.
Some might get overwhelmed with emotions as the very same defences that keep the self illusion going begin to break down. Others may experience a crisis of nihilism, or deep despair around topics such as free will and agency.
As this can be a quite ‘destructive process’ it’s not for the faint of heart. Given that it can be a bumpy ride It is only recommended that you join his journey if you truly are a truth seeker and want to know the truth no matter what.
If you are very emotionally unstable to begin with you might want to get some help with that first. And I don’t recommend doing this course unless you have developed a sense of an adult psychological self over time -essentially, you are psychologically and adult and have healthy boundaries and are not steeped in victimhood.
If you satisfy the above criteria then seeing through this very illusion may very well be the most important and fulfilling thing you can do.
What This Is Not
For some reason much of awakening and meditation industry seems to have embraced a lot of outdated psychological concepts, most of which are not supported by modern psychological science and findings.
This includes notions such as repression. So many teachers teach their students that they have repressed memories and repressed emotions. Other teach that ‘the body keeps the score’ and that the body stores memories and traumas and that these need to be resolved as part of the process.
Not only is the evidence behind these claims very weak. These notions often do more harm than good.
This course is not trauma informed. It’s not based in the claims of the trauma industrial complex. Neither does it push old psychodynamic theories of repressed memories and repressed emotions.
Instead, we do our best to use updated psychological maps which correspond with current research into memory, social psychology, and the role of suggestion.

The programme will run over ten sessions which will take place at 6:30pm UK time and will last approximately 2 hours. The sessions will take place on the following dates:

Just Consider This for a Moment.....
What if a small change in thinking could suddenly improve outcomes or open new avenues for doing change work with ourselves and others?
In this presentation we will examine the trove of evidence suggesting that there has been a long history of practitioners using simple therapeutic tools who achieve strong results with clients surprisingly quickly—yet have been largely overlooked and misunderstood within the scientific paradigm of the 20th century.
We will cover various examples of effective brief interventions, the existing evidence about how and why they work, how they could be used in therapeutic and self-development work, and the results of in-depth interviews with standout practitioners of various brief interventions.
Who Should Attend?
This event is perfect for you if you are:
An existing change work practitioner who wants to discover the potential of brief targeted interventions
Someone into personal development who wants to explore the possibilities
Someone who is just curious about the area of change and effectiveness

Nick Kemp the creator of PCW (Provocative Change Works) explains the thinking behind the development of the PCW Generation 3.1 programme.
Nick Kemp writes:
"Oct 2024 will be the start of the latest generation of PCW. This is specifically to expand and refine the PCW model as well as bringing Provocative Change Works to a wider audience. Previous experience of PCW is not essential to be part of these monthly trainings, which will also include 1 - 1 work and assignments. The training allows people to participate at all levels from complete beginners to more experienced students. Those with more experience will be helping run the group exercises and themselves be evaluated on their performance.
Generation 3.1 PCW is also for those wanting continual professional development that would of course be standard in any other field of professional learning. This is the way we best learn and develop the model. I'm also mindful that this development means collaboration and using the "PCW hive mind" to share experiences of how the model can be used in a huge diversity of environments. This also means that the emphasis is not solely on myself".
We are particularly interested in developing the model for use in the following areas:
Wellness (therapy and coaching)
Education
Business
Sport
Creativity

More About PCW
Provocative Change Works consists of three approaches to shift clients from “a stuck state” to a more fluid state, allowing for greater freedom and choice. This elegant conversational way of working requires the practitioner to pay close attention to client responses, whilst maintaining their own excellent state control.
These three approaches are:
Provoking or stimulating client responses by verbal and non verbal interactions
Using non-specific or indirect Hypnosis and metaphor explorations – to create “fluid states” for the client. Eliciting and challenging metaphors
Time Framing – Promoting new ways of moving through time and space
The PCW practitioner deliberately provokes (calls forth responses from) the client by adopting different discrete stances, which stimulate the client into new ways of thinking and feeling. The practitioner seeks out resistances in the client and then approaches most what the client seeks to avoid in the discussion, and identifies the client’s “blind spots”, using a great deal of humour and by working in an improvised manner. This means “running suggestions up the flagpole” and seeing if the client responds. The practitioner creates the movement in the session and can be talking for large sections of the interaction which is very different to many other talk therapy approaches.
Great use is made of “sensory rich language”, and the full expression of this, to engage the client, and thus take them on a journey outside their existing beliefs and experience, to a new sense of freedom. The practitioner works in a multi layered way without the limitations of some conventions found in many talk therapy approaches, such as removing the impression of “formal therapy as much as possible from the interaction. The key attitude of interacting as if chatting to an old friend means that the practitioner quickly creates real rapport with the client and the client often discusses the issue as it is rather than how they believe “they should respond” in this clinical situation.
Many witnessing this style of working can be initially quite surprised at the amount of energy, fun and honesty that results from this approach. This makes the client session very much like any interaction between old friends where each person may interrupt the other, tease the other, wander off the point and behave in other ways which typify such encounters. This apparent freedom is of course underpinned by all the ethical and professional principles of good clinical practice. The benefit of this is that one can have warm caring and human interactions, which enables the client to find their own solutions from a new and useful state.
A big influence on the development of Provocative Change Works was Frank Farrelly who Nick knew personally. PCW incorporates elements of Frank's traditional Provocative Therapy as well as including a range of additional approaches within the PCW model.
'Provocation' in the context of PCW and change work
The term provocation in PCW is often misunderstood. In this clip below Nick explains what provocation means in the context of PCW and how it is used.

What People Are Saying....
We have had great feedback on the PCW trainings we have run. People get a lot out of it and often come back to develop their skills further. Here are just a selection of the great things that have been said about PCW and Nick.
“Do you know Nick Kemp? – (he is) exceptionally bright, and I have immensely enjoyed communicating…The kind of exchanges that I have been having… are the kind of activities that I think can really advance the field. He has modeled two different simple processes which are part of his Provocative Change Works™ set of tools for working with anxiety and other strong emotions that I have found enormously useful in working with clients. He has also modeled the different patterns in Frank Farrelly’s Provocative Therapy so that they are easy to learn. In addition, he is everything you might wish for in a colleague – available, creative, and eager to discuss ideas and learn as well as teach.”
Steve Andreas, NLP Developer and Author
"You are totally disarming and beyond formalisation. There is an ease and naturalness about you and you make people relax really quickly. You got the power man!”
Frank Farrelly on Nick Kemp (June 16th 2006)
“Nick Kemp makes Provocative Therapy accessible to NLP trained coaches and therapists. My recommendation is to get his DVD set from the workshop in Boulder Colorado, watch DVD number 6 – an excellent example of what can be done – and then go back to the beginning and learn how he does it. You may be surprised how much of NLP already depends on provocation! “
Richard Bolstad, International NLP Trainer, Psychotherapist
“Unassuming and yet beneath that quite persona there is a depth of knowledge and integrity. Very likable and easily approachable, Nick has that magical knack of making people feel good and his methodology is so easily understood that his workshops are refreshingly effective. I will recommend Nick to anyone wanting to have the tools for a better life.”
Dr A Abraham, India
“I have known Nick Kemp for a number of years as both personal friend and mentor… no one has done more to promote Frank Farrelly and his highly effective treatment modality of “Provocative Therapy” than Nick Kemp. In 2004 when both myself and Nick met Frank Farrelly for the first time, the only readily available material was the classic 1973 book, “Provocative Therapy.” Since that meeting, Nick and Frank have become firm friends and there is no doubt the rest of us have benefitted enormously from this unique relationship. Now with numerous audio and DVD training products produced and promoted by Nick Kemp, Frank Farrelly’s work is more readily accessible than ever before. With this is mind, I had the very great pleasure of attending Nick’s first “Provocative Change Works” course in Leeds. Having extensively studied Provocative Therapy and seen Frank work one-to-one sessions live with clients on several occasions, I was astonished at the level of expertise demonstrated on the stage. I have no doubt that with his modelling skills, Nick Kemp has managed to “get” the PT model in its entirety. Watching Nick interact with his clients left me in no doubt that he is the very embodiment of Frank’s humour, wit, skill and flexibility. I suspect that anyone familiar with Frank Farrelly’s style of working will get that spine tingling sense of familiarity when watching Nick work and that the mantle of Frank’s ground breaking work has truely found its lineage, and his experience and dedication to detail makes him one of the best trainers and change work therapists in the UK today.”
Andrew T Austin, Therapist and Author
“I’ve been studying the PCW model with Nick for a while now and the more I learn the more I understand the nuance and skill of this approach. Initially it can seem almost random and hard to judge what is going on. But having worked with clients utilising this approach I have found it highly effective and brings about significant shifts in how they think about their problem.Nick himself is a very generous man, who is genuinely interested in sharing what he has learnt, and sharing his experiences with others. If you’re curious about discovering a different approach to your skills then I highly recommend attending one of his courses.”
Brooke Hender Hypnotherapist

Nick writes:
"Ten years ago I moved away from using conventional NLP, Hypnosis and other approaches to exclusively use PCW, simply because its far more effective and I can totally back up that claim. A lot of the tools from such approaches were useful, but hugely limited compared to what is possible now.
This is a natural conversational concise non jargon way of working fully road tested in literally thousands of client sessions and now being taught across the globe online and in live events.
PCW can be applied in a wide range of context and works equally well in therapy, coaching, business and personal development".
Influenced by his work with Frank Farrelly, Nick Kemp has developed the distinctive and effective Provocative Change Works (PCW). Whether you are a coach, therapist, trainer, communicator, business person, or anyone who wants to personally develop Provocative Change Works can provide a valuable model of communication, problem solving and change.
Nick Kemp has been involved in the field of personal change for over 40 years, having studied many forms of communication and personal development, including Hypnosis, Provocative Therapy and NLP. Between 1980 and 1998 he taught workshops on personal development. Nick works on a group and individual basis for professional and personal work. He runs a successful private practice, and also provides business trainings to companies by appointment. In 2004 Nick Kemp met Frank Farrelly, (creator of Provocative Therapy and influence on the creators of NLP) and began an intensive training with him to become one of a very small number of Farrelly internationally approved Provocative Therapy Trainers.
Nick and Frank became firm friends, co presenting at Provocative Therapy events as well as spending far too many hours watching classic movies at Nick’s home cinema in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Nick set up The Association for Provocative Therapy (AFPT), and released “Provocative Change Works for Phobias”, which was the first of a number of DVD sets with commentary from Frank Farrelly himself. As well as teaching classic Provocative Therapy (PCW), Nick has created his own Provocative Change Works approach which he teaches internationally as well as with private clients.
WHAT ARE PEOPLE ARE SAYING?
"You are totally disarming and beyond formalisation. There is an ease and naturalness about you and you make people relax really quickly. You got the power man!”.”
Frank Farrelly, Creator of Provocative Therapy
"Do you know Nick Kemp? – (he is) exceptionally bright, and I have immensely enjoyed communicating…The kind of exchanges that I have been having… are the kind of activities that I think can really advance the field. He has modeled two different simple processes which are part of his Provocative Change Works™ set of tools for working with anxiety and other strong emotions that I have found enormously useful in working with clients. He has also modeled the different patterns in Frank Farrelly’s Provocative Therapy so that they are easy to learn. In addition, he is everything you might wish for in a colleague – available, creative, and eager to discuss ideas and learn as well as teach."
Steve Andreas, NLP Developer and Author
"I’ve watched the work of Fritz Perls, Anna Freud, Carl Rogers, Moshe Feldenkrais, Alexander Lowen, and a few more of the “names” in the psychotherapy field. Your clinical work surpasses some of them now, at a comparatively young age. Given your passion for clinical learning, love of people and creative spirit, I suspect I’ll be dropping your name onto that list of recognized “names” in the psychotherapy field one day."
Frank Bourke Ph.D, Executive Director of the NLP Research and Recognition Project, former lecturer Cornell University and researcher London University

For eight years, Jørgen ran what he describes as an ‘impossibles practice’. Working with those whom all other therapists said, "couldn't be helped".
The Psychological Illusion Model (PIM) is an evolving model. At this event Jørgen will share his latest thinking about PIM and how he has subsequently refined and simplified his approach over the years, so that it is simpler and more effective and more transferable to other contexts.

Peter Jakobsen - Hypnotherapist and Metacognitve Therapist and a PIM-ist
"Anyone serious about leading their clients towards meaningful and lasting change should consider training with Jørgen Rasmussen. And it goes without saying that Pete Dalton is hosting one of the best platforms for change workers through Aether and Alchemy, making it an excellent resource for professionals in the field".
Thomas Wood
“It was Jørgen's books, which I discovered by accident, that sparked my desire to discover more. I signed up for his weekend seminar in search of personal transformation techniques that were different and outside the box, in order to resolve myself and others. But what I discovered was quite extraordinary. My experience was truly life-changing, embodying a knowledge that goes far beyond the intellect.
Jørgen's commitment to this model, which he has created throughout his practice, is evident. The stories he introduces are countless and each one has a real purpose. I recommend this experience in Aether and Alchemy without any hesitation".

Learn How To Work Effectively With Depression
Join us for a five part master class on working effectively with depression with expert change worker Jørgen Rasmussen.
Jørgen writes:
"We seem to be living in a depression epidemic. If you know how to work with people who depress then there is a huge market for you out there. AND, speaking from experience, few things match the joy to be found in helping someone go from deeply depressed to being able to truly enjoy life again.
At the same time these clients can not only be extremely difficult to work with, if your not careful and insightful you may end up in a dark place yourself if you spend a lot of time with these clients.
To work effectively with these clients you better how a good road map for navigating a terrain where the following pitfalls are common
As Eugene Gendlin pointed out decades ago, successful clients tend to be able to have a nonverbal “felt sense” of the issue while in the office. Its exactly this “felt sense” that those who strongly depress lack, making it difficult to make decisions, solve problems. Almost all psychotherapeutic approaches rely on this “felt sense”. You need to know how to help clients who either cant access, or to help then develop said capacity.
They often have a perception of hopelessness, helplessness, and a sense that “its of no use anyways”. The challenge is that they will often filter everything you do to try to help through that very same filter of hopelessness. You need to know how to get around this.
They often believe in outdated myths such as “I have a chemical imbalance” , which contributes to a sense of helplessness and lack of agency.
Some struggle with “low moods” that have more or less become chronic. When is the last time you heard a nlp, hypnosis, or coaching course address how to deal with that.
A few are suicidal and some have past suicide attempts behind them. You better have some knowledge on this very topic."
Watch a short video of Jorgen discussing the workshop.
Jørgen Rasmussen has 27 years experience of working with clients full time and sees clients from all over the world. In this 5 part series he will share what he has found to be the most useful through trial and error and actual client feedback.

How to reduce rumination

Help those who are not “psychologically oriented”
Help clients change their relationship to suicidal thoughts

Based on nearly three decades of client work, Jørgen created the excellent Psychological Illusion Model (PIM) which embodies his unique approach to change work.
In this FREE online event Jørgen Rasmussen will explain how a lot of people's psychological suffering is NOT based upon them being broken or suffering from a so called mental illness, but is rather the result of them falling for some basic psychological illusions.
People basically misunderstand the nature of their own experience and helping them see its illusory nature can make be the difference that makes the difference.
He will also cover how The Psychological Illusion Model essentially turns hypnosis 'upside down'. The Psychological Illusion Model provides a means of helping people by teaching them to 'dehypnotize themselves' and help them more effectively with issues such as anxiety, depression chronic pain and trauma.
Here's Jørgen talking about the event.

ONLINE MASTER CLASS WITH JORGEN RASMUSSEN
Discover proven effective approaches for helping clients with jealousy issues.
Learn the approaches, tools and insider secrets of Jørgen Rasmussen based on his 27 years of successful getting results with clients with jealousy issues
Jørgen says:
"No emotion is inherently dangerous. But if not handled skillfully, jealousy seems to be the number one contender. Its not dubbed the green eyed monster for nothing.
Sadly, the most dangerous person a woman is likely to meet in her lifetime is her own husband. He is the person most likely to both commit violence towards her and the person most likely to murder her. She is most at risk at the time of breaking up and leaving the husband and in the months thereafter. The main emotion ( unskillfully handled that is ) behind this is jealousy.
I don’t mean to imply troublesome jealousy is something only men experience and act upon. Women experience their fare share as well, they just don’t kill their husbands as often.
Even when we take violence out of the picture this emotion can contribute to relationships breaking apart. The irritability, sullenness and anxiety plus the not so charming behavioral manifestations such as prolonged questioning in the form of interrogations of the motives and deeper feelings of the romantic partner usually takes it toll.
In other words, If you know how to help those who struggle with jealousy you can spend your career helping save marriages and contribute to them thriving. What could be better than that?
And if you're lucky you might even save a life or two.
Jealousy is one of those topics I regularly see clients for and most of my clients are very happy with the results. On Saturday November 30th I am doing a one day masterclass on how to help these clients and how to troubleshoot when the sessions aren’t going that smoothly. I will be offering what I have learned in the last 27 years of seeing clients full time".
Jørgen discusses the forthcoming workshop
What The Workshop Will Cover
Some of the topics that the workshop will cover are:
How to prepare clients for the sessions with tailor made tasks
How to help clients identify and correct the typical cognitive thinking errors that drive jealousy issues
How to use provocation artistry
How to help clients make a fundamental shift in the relationship they have to thoughts and feelings
How to follow up clients to ensure long term change
Troubleshooting tips to deal with typical pitfalls when dealing with these clients
Insights into the dynamics of partner violence

Unlock the therapeutic power of meditation in change work without the spiritual strings....
Transform your therapeutic practice by mastering meditation tailored for real-world client challenges.
More and more people are discovering just how transformative and empowering it can be to have a regular meditation practice. If you see clients for a living (or want to) then teaching and guiding clients through meditation practices can be very useful both as a way to facilitate insight and to develop relevant psychological and emotional skills.
However, almost everyone worth learning from teaches meditation in a spiritual context. It’s a bit like the old days in the hypnosis world when so many who were teaching therapists to use hypnosis were themselves stage hypnotists. Just like the world of stage hypnosis is a very different context from actual hypnotherapy, learning about meditation in a spiritual context is very different to adapting meditation to the arenas of therapy, coaching, or changework.
On top of this most clients will not be meditators nor will they necessarily have much insight into spiritual awakening.
Jørgen Rasmussen has seen clients professionally since 1998. He also has had a regular meditation practice since 1991. Given this he has a lot of experience utilizing tailor made meditation practices and experiences with clients struggling with pretty much almost any issue you can think of.
What the Workshop Will Cover
How the spiritual and therapeutic / coaching contexts are different and how to apply meditation to the latter context
How to tailor make meditations to actual clients real time issues
How meditation can help facilitate insights and develop skills related to depression, anxiety, chronic pain, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma.
Special considerations and adaptions for people with overwhelm and trauma.
The power of suggestion - how suggestions and post hypnotic suggestions can influence what you experience and how you interpret it.
The dangers of meditation: how to deal with some of the problems that can arise as a result of meditation.
How to know when meditation might be contraindicated.
The benefits and dangers of attempting to help someone “wake up.” Constructing a self versus helping someone deconstruct a seemingly separate, permanent, and autonomous self.
How to help someone who is a meditator when they present with typical issues such a derealization. This is important as many people who have gotten lost on the meditative path easily get diagnosed as mentally ill by psychiatrists and psychologists who don’t have an understanding of meditation.
Who Should Attend? This workshop is designed for therapists, coaches, and changework professionals who want to integrate meditation into their practice in a practical and client-centered way. Whether you have a regular practice or you're new to the field, this event will provide tools and insights you can immediately use with clients.
This is a rare opportunity to explore meditation from a therapeutic and coaching perspective. Transform your practice with tailored meditation techniques that meet your clients where they are. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your skills and offer even more value in your sessions.
