Are you ready to explore a deeper way of living?
What if ancient wisdom held the key to understanding your inner world—and unlocking your power to change it?
Discover Huna: A Blueprint for Personal Power is more than a course—it’s an invitation to reconnect with your natural intelligence, your subtle guidance system, and the hidden dimensions of life that are often overlooked in modern living. Whether you’re new to shamanic teachings or seeking a grounded approach to personal transformation, this course offers a practical and inspiring path forward.
You are much more than your physical self. There are many powerful aspects to your core being that lay hidden behind ordinary thinking. Shamans from all over the world have gained access to these powers and used them for healing and understanding. Huna is one such system that many people have found to be especially effective—and that is what we teach here.
Huna is a philosophical system with Hawaiian roots that is about personal empowerment and fulfilment. This system is a form of shamanism and uses all the elements of nature to work with both individuals and groups to make the world a better place.
This course is an introduction to the foundational ideas and techniques of Huna. Much of Huna is about healing, and we will explore and demonstrate the elementary ways in which it can help people. There is no dogma here—only observations and practices that work most of the time.
You are invited to expand your understanding of how you work and how to use your power to enjoy your life more. What the classes cover is outlined below:
Class #1 – Huna is based on Seven Principles that together are a blueprint for personal power. Each principle opens doors into how power works and how to use that power. They are simple statements that have many levels to them.
Class #2 – In recognizing that we are more than our physical selves, Huna works with three aspects of our being, aspects we call the 3 Selves. They describe different levels of our being—the Body-Mind, the Conscious Mind, and the Higher Mind. By understanding how each of these works, we can use them as a fully functioning team.
Class #3 – How we look at the world affects what we can do in the world. We have many ways that we can do this, each with its own advantages. We call these the 4 Levels of Reality. Beyond our familiar Objective and Subjective Realities, we explore the powerful Shamanic or Symbolic Reality and the Wholistic Reality to expand what’s possible in our lives.
Class #4 – In this class we weave together the key concepts into a working whole—revealing how to live from a place of awareness, alignment, and purpose.
The sessions will involve teaching, discussion, exercises, and guided journeying. In addition, optional practices between sessions help you apply the learning to your own life in simple, powerful ways. (A link to watch streamed replays of each session will be provided to participants to view for up to six months after each session).
This course is ideal for anyone who:
Whether you come from a background in healing, coaching, personal development—or are just beginning your inner journey—Discover Huna offers a rich and welcoming space to reconnect with what truly matters. The workshop is open to anyone with curiosity and a willingness to explore a philosophy of harmony and empowerment. There are no further prerequisites.
The workshop will run over four sessions in September 2025 on the following dates:
September 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th.
Each session will run at 7pm -8:30pm UK time.
The super early booking price is £100. A £35 deposit secures your place. (There is a 50% discount for previous participants who are attending as a refresher – contact us for details).

“Thanks to you and Stewart for a great class, as usual. I would like to make a special pitch to encourage every Alakai to take one or more of your classes. Each class provides a rich expanding experience, an invitation to go deeper, wider, higher from our own individual place. And because we each sign up for the class when we do, synchronicity is in motion. We then find that each person has something of value for each other, which all comes out of the journeys/experiences offered by Stewart and Pete. Each brief journey/meditation (there are about four in a 1 and 1/2 hr class session) is a delightful stretching experience.
Now I find ku is encouraging me to feel lucky and expect luck because ku likes the feeling of being lucky, and identifies feeling that good with expansion/growth. What a great feeling and you guided us to being able to recognize that feeling! Mahalo!
What a magnificent experience – I can stand back just a little and witness/feel the changes made from the Luck class in a clearer way, not just in an analytical/lono way.
Mahalo, mahalo to both of you”

Are you ready to stop playing small and start living from your inner truth?
In a world that often teaches us to seek approval, chase success, or conform to expectations, reclaiming your Personal Power is a radical—and deeply healing—act. This 10-week journey invites you to step into your authentic self and transform how you feel, act, and create.
In all walks of life living in your power is the most effective way to live. In Huna and Shamanism this is no different. In this programme we look at the fundamental building blocks of living in your power which is common to the human experience whatever your background and experience.
Wherever you are in life—navigating change, seeking clarity, healing old wounds, or wanting to create from a deeper sense of truth—this programme will help you:
Personal Power is built on a foundation of self-confidence and trust in oneself. Some people seem to have these qualities in abundance and others don’t. But we can all develop them and use them to create the lives we want. We start with a strong diet of self-love and self-esteem. Without that self-love we cripple ourselves by seeking love and approval from outside ourselves. We also need to understand how our own thoughts and feelings develop into the reality we experience. This 10-week course in personal power is designed to give you insights, tools, and techniques for managing beliefs and expectations and to create from your authentic self. Here’s an overview of what we will be exploring:
Class #1 – Feelings
Your life is built around feelings. Every choice you make is based on desire to feel better than you currently do. This class is about knowing what you feel, how to change your feelings to feel better, and how to keep on feeling better. We will go over the mechanics of feelings to help you better take charge of them.
Class #2 – Beliefs and Expectations
Beliefs are ideas about your reality that become the rules by which you experience life. But, beliefs are more than just ideas; they are held emotionally in memory and reinforced by imagination. They become the patterns from which our reality is both created and perceived. And what we expect is most often what we get to experience.
Class #3 – Dealing with Shame
We all have shame, but most of us don’t know what to do with it. Shame is the choice to disapprove of yourself in some way. Guilt is the choice to disapprove of something you have done. Forgiveness is what heals guilt. Self-love is what heals shame. By effectively tackling our shame we create the garden to grow our Personal Power.
Class #4 – Mastering Self-Approval
Another way of talking about self-love is to see it as self-approval. In this era of self-help and personal development it is a radical notion to approve of yourself as you are right now. Improving yourself is not what approval is all about. Truly approving of yourself is to feel good about who you are in this moment. You might want to change things later, but you’re fine as you are now. That idea alone is incredibly powerful.
Class #5 – Desires and Values
To understand what you want, you must first understand your values. As can be easily seen, there is a very strong motivation for something within us that shows up as a yearning for things like purpose, destiny, or fate. Part of it is related to the urge for belonging. Part of it is about a desire to be who we are, whatever that is. And part of it is a craving to let some aspects of ourselves go out into the world to make something new. To be truly powerful you must know yourself in these areas.
Class #6 – Managing the Stories We Tell Ourselves, Part 1
In this class we will focus on the importance of how we tell the stories of who we are and how we got here. Each story we tell makes us feel a certain way and affects how we create our own reality. We can tell our story any way we like, so why not tell it in a way that contributes to our happiness and power. You change your story, you change your world!
Class #7 – Managing the Stories We Tell Ourselves, Part 2
The topic of managing our stories is so powerful that we need a second class to show it. How we tell our stories affects not only how we feel today, but also how we create our future. This important subject demands sufficient time to grasp and implement. Telling the story of our future is a valuable way to shape and project it to reflect our desires and values
Class #8 – The Nature of Personal Power!
We have a lot more influence over our forthcoming experiences when we understand that we have the power to choose or not choose most of what we are experiencing. Taking up our power means deciding how we will react to things and deciding where we want to go. There are powerful strategies we can use to be more effective and harmonious.
Class #9 – The Challenge of Trust
One of the most important choices we can make is the decision to trust. Trust not just the Universe, but also ourselves. A lot of things happen magically when we let go and allow them to occur in their own time. It may seem counterintuitive, but by letting go of trying to control things, we make space for the things and experiences we desire.
Class #10 – Programming Your Future
Your future is created in this moment. It is not a function of what has happened up to this point. Your feeling habits have been built up over time, but they can be changed at any moment. You create the next chapters in your life by how your think, by what you feel, and what you believe about yourself. Basically, you create your life by how you see your identity. That means that what happens to you next is in your hands.
This isn’t just a course—it’s a guided inner journey that reconnects you with your power, clarity, and purpose.
Whether you’re new to personal development or have walked many paths, Pathways to Personal Power will help you integrate profound insights with practical change.
You’ll walk away with tools you can use daily – A fresh understanding of your thoughts and feelings -And a renewed sense of who you really are—and who you’re becoming.
Are you ready to take the essential inner journey?

The shamanic approach to luck, good fortune, and success recognises that these are not random occurrences but states of alignment with the deeper currents of energy and intention. It is about cultivating a reality where synchronicities flow, obstacles transform, and personal power is directed toward a life of greater harmony, abundance, and purpose.
This seven session weekly online workshop explores Luck, Good Fortune and Success from a Shamanic Perspective.
Each workshop will explore one of the following topics:
Class #1 – What is luck and where does it come from? We start out looking at various ideas about what luck is and particularly what it is from a shamanic point of view. Luck is a very personal experience and we want to first get to know our own relationship to Luck.
Class #2 – The Role of Beliefs. The single greatest influence on our luck is probably the beliefs we hold around how lucky we think we are, how much we deserve good luck, and how we think things come into our lives. When our beliefs limit our good fortune, no amount of favorable circumstances will do us any good.
Class #3 – The Role of Intuition and Our Inner Guides. There’s more to luck than chance. When we tap into our inner being, we can take advantage of hunches and other forms of intuition and inspiration. The art of listening to how we are being guided is a key element to becoming luckier.
Class #4 – Using the Critical Skill of Focus. In general, we get what we focus on. Paying attention to what we’re paying attention to pays off. When we can stay focused on success, we get there much more easily than when we worry. When we focus on abundance, that’s what we experience more of.
Class #5 – The “Lucky” Mindset. Being lucky is a way of thinking and a way of being. More than harnessing the wild vagaries of nature, it is about how we order our lives. To be lucky is to feel that “luckiness” in our bones. And that starts with thinking in terms of being lucky.
Class #6 – The Roles of Gratitude and Expectation. Gratitude and the related appreciation are powerful elements that go into being lucky. They help guide the experiences we have around luck. Expectation is tool that needs to be used carefully, but when properly employed it can shape events in our favor.
Class #7 – Programming Your Luck. When we pull all the elements of luck together, we can produce a very potent fusion of energies that we can tap into at any time. If Harry Potter can have his Felix felicis, we can have our own version of Liquid Luck. We’ll brew some up here.
The sessions will involve teaching, discussion, exercises and journeying. In addition, exercises to do between sessions will be provided.
The workshop will run over seven sessions in 2025 on the following dates:
June 9, June 16, June 23, June 30 & July 7, July 14, July 21

When we discover that “reality” is malleable, we can then take charge of our personal reality and change it as necessary. We take responsibility for our experience and use the methods of centuries of shamanic practice to produce realities of increased harmony, power and success. This is an 8-week course that goes into many perspectives and techniques used to influence and change reality. Each class is 1 and 1/2 hours with optional homework for between classes.
Class #1 –The Nature of “Reality”
To “change reality” we need to know what it is. We start from the perspective that what we are experiencing is a function of what is happening in our inner world, namely our thoughts (that include beliefs and desires) and our emotions. We create our reality from these building blocks. Understanding this is essential to the crafting of our lives.
Class #2 - Energy and Imagination
When we say that “energy flows where attention goes,” we are describing how the system operates. Every technique that we use is based on comprehending this. We construct the outline of our desire with our imagination. We then energize that vision with emotional energy. Everything else is a variation of this general pattern.
Class #3 – Dreams
One of the key places where we can powerfully change our reality is in our dreams, both day and night ones. In our dreams we go into the spaces where reality is constructed. But being conscious in those realms allows use to direct the elements of our reality to suit our needs and desires within the rules of our existence.
Class #4 – Shamanic Dreams
Shamanic dreams are carefully crafted dreams where we use our active imagination to create a symbolic scenario and manipulate it, while learning about ourselves and gaining valuable insights through passive imagination. Besides that, they’re fun!
Class #5 – Developing the Skill of Telepathy
We use telepathy all the time and we influence others and the environment without giving it much thought. Getting comfortable with it may be a different story. Here we will explore ways of using it more consciously and effectively.
Class #6 – The Use of Thoughtforms
Thoughtforms allow us to create more dynamic visions of our desire coming into being by imagining something doing tasks for us. Rather than holding pictures of a desired outcome, we use our energy in an imagined way to be doing the work while we do other things.
Class #7 – Changing Beliefs and Patterns Through Grokking
Our beliefs form the structure of our reality and the basic patterns of our existence. By diving deeply into these beliefs, changing them as necessary, and altering the patterns of our lives we begin to take charge of this reality that can be altered at will.
Class #8 – Changing Yourself
One of the most basic understandings of this work is that we are creating reality based on how we have created ourselves. When we want to change our outer world, we do so most efficiently by changing who we are on the inside. This, of course, requires a degree of self-awareness. But that’s always a useful thing!

I really enjoyed your Huna Adventures workshop and there have been many positive changes in my life, especially after the third session getting to know the goddesses! I feel much more empowered in myself, and since connecting with Hi’iaka, I have been experiencing greater success with getting things done! I am very happy to have shared with the group and the first two workshops sort of laid the ground for this to happen with the gentle encouragement that was provided, and all the comments the rest of the group gave, it created an open and loving space for me to express myself:-) I look forward to learning more about Huna and continuing on this wonderful path.-Sarah Richardson

Join us for a deep dive into the wonderful and powerful Seven Principles of Huna
The Seven Principles of Huna are a pathway to power, guidance for a harmonious life, and a system of thought that utilizes the many abilities that we all have. However, they are also multilayered; they have deeper meanings beyond the surface phrases we see initially. In this course we will look at some of those deeper concepts and focus on the hidden potentials of these powerful ideas.
The deeper implications of this idea are staggering. You are creating your experience of the world by your thoughts and the feelings that go with them. Change your thinking and you change your world.
You, as Inner Self, are an infinite being and your choices are infinite as well (within the bounds of your creaturehood.)
Energy is manipulated with thought. So what you focus on is what you are energizing.
The Past is gone and lives only in memory. The Future is only speculation and lives solely in the imagination. Only in this Present Moment can you change anything.
Love is the happy acceptance of someone or something. It never includes criticism or judgment.
No one else can give you power; you must claim it for yourself. You have the power to choose what you think. You have the power to choose how you feel. And, of course, you have the power to choose what you do.
Does it work? This is the criteria, as opposed to dogma or hope. This is what wisdom is.
The sessions will involve teaching, discussion, exercises and journeying. In addition, exercises to do between sessions will be provided.
The workshop will run over seven sessions (each session devoted to a single principle) on the following dates in 2024:

I want to thank both of you for the wonderful workshop. I appreciated the way you organized each week's presentation by alternating the teachings between you. It was perfect for our modern shorter attention spans. And I appreciated the succinct lesson followed with a related meditative experience: information then action. I never had the feeling that ideas were truncated or rushed through in any way. We had plenty of time for questions, for our journey experience, and for sharing afterward. The homework suggestions were of great and lasting value. I received much more than I expected which included after-class information: homework, links, reminders, etc, Plus, you have allowed access to the recordings of the class for an entire year. You couldn’t have been more generous with your knowledge and your time. Knowing that you are both available for consultation afterward is a very loving gift.

I really enjoyed your Huna Adventures workshop and there have been many positive changes in my life, especially after the third session getting to know the goddesses! I feel much more empowered in myself, and since connecting with Hi’iaka, I have been experiencing greater success with getting things done! I am very happy to have shared with the group and the first two workshops sort of laid the ground for this to happen with the gentle encouragement that was provided, and all the comments the rest of the group gave, it created an open and loving space for me to express myself:-) I look forward to learning more about Huna and continuing on this wonderful path.

Well, there are these two guys somewhere in the world, far away across the sea, or even further away, across the ocean, to whom you can tell the craziest things you can imagine and they will listen to you with their full attention, respect, gentleness and support. And you can even write to them between and after classes with any kind of question and they will answer you immediately and make you feel welcome, appreciated and more empowered than you can even imagine. And after a few weeks, you'll feel like you're meeting two old, loving friends…. If all is a dream, I don't think I'd ever want this dream to end.

In 1981 Serge Kahili King published his book Imagineering for Health. It is a detailed book about using your mind to affect and improve your health. It is also a master work on manifestation. We have found it both very useful and highly underrated. Consequently, we have put together this course to help people, both those who are healers and those who are working to heal themselves, to understand and utilize these highly effective techniques.
This is an 8-week course that goes into many perspectives and techniques used to affect someone's health. Each class is 1 and 1/2 hours with optional homework for between class. The cost is $300 for the whole class.
Our first task is to understand what we mean by health. From there we delve into the relationship of that health with how we are using our mind. Once we understand the connection of our mind to our body, we cau use the power of imagination for benefit of our body.
We use imagination all the time, probably much more than you realize. But there are different kinds of imagination, some more appropriate than others for any given task. Here we will look at the different imaginations and how to use them more effectively.
Our minds are complex structures that have different aspects for different tasks. Each aspect can be regarded as a separate self (even though there is no real separation). Here we will look at the Creative Mind, the Active Mind, and the Directing Mind and see how we can use each for our greatest health.
What we think and the words we use have a profound impact on our bodies. Until we fully realize the effects of what we are thinking, we will continue to torture ourselves unnecessarily. Changing what we think, changes how we experience life.
In this class through Class #7 we will be including discussions of healing specific regions of the body as examples of this particular kind of healing.
Picturing scenarios in our mind is extraordinarily powerful as long as we keep feeling good about these pictures. It is the pleasure of these visions that power the changes we are making. In this class we will explore several very potent styles of visualizing.
The body is inclined to heed the instructions of an authority, for better or worse. We were taught that there are many authorities outside of us that we need to pay attention to. However, as we mature we discover that the only truly reliable authority is ourselves. You are the ultimate authority in your life. And your commands and suggestions can be exceedingly powerful.
Emotional energy is what creates the realities that we experience. It is directed by the Directing Mind and is infinite in its scope. The more we learn to use this energy effectively, the more we can craft the lives we want. In this class we will learn many ways that are very useful.
No matter how alone we might feel, we are never without the cooperation and assistance from other places. Sometimes all we have to do is create helpers to assist us in healing. Other times we simply make specific requests of powerful beings. In this class we will work with techniques that involve loving in being that which we desire with the help of others.
